We are recruiting for an Occupational Therapy Technician to joinLlanbedr Court, Newport. This large, supportive team promotes meaningful guidance to clients to achieve skill development that enhances their opportunities. An Occupational Therapy Technician is required to provide interventions on both an individual basis and supporting group work. Ideally you will have positive communication skills, be self motivated and be able to motivate our client group.
As an Occupational Therapy Technician, you will:

Design, plan and deliver a range of prescribed therapeutic programs to both groups and individuals.

Assess, evaluate and report on the client using a framework applied within Occupational Therapy Services and to develop a rapport with individuals to assess their needs.

Facilitate sessions that are motivational and appropriate.

The post also aims to promote occupations that are valued and motivating to the individual and based on the principles of Occupational Therapy, allowing planned goal setting and appropriate risk assessments.

To deliver a service that enables client’s opportunities for active rehabilitation.
·
Be able to demonstrate general skills such as gardening, arts, crafts and other practical activities.
·
Qualified in NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care or a health related qualification at this level and training in skills delivery.
