We are investing in our training capability as we believe this is the key to staff progression and fulfilment. We have exciting plans for the future and can already provide the following:
- Dedicated in-house Training Centre
- A Training Department developing in size, skills and experience
- 2 week Company Induction Programme
- Refresher Training in statutory areas
- NVQ programme
- Tailored training
The Training Department works to put our training objectives into practice, continuously improving standards and introducing new training opportunities.
All new staff participates in our 2 week Induction programme before working on the units. This provides an overview of the organisation, discussion of relevant topics, as well as essential practical training. The knowledge and skills gained are a vital support in helping new staff to successfully adapt to their role.
Statutory training delivered at the Induction is followed up with regular refresher training, keeping staff updated and confident in their knowledge.
A range of staff across the organisation have achieved an NVQ qualification whilst working for the company. Many more are well on their way to successfully completing the programme. The NVQ programme is work based and evidence for the qualification is gathered through assessment of skills and responsibilities carried out on a daily basis.
The Training Department is also able to respond to requests for tailored training. Specific training needs are often identified through the supervision and appraisal process.
